Viking Folding Comb in Ox Horn

The Norse peoples were notoriously well-groomed, which caused no small amount of envy.

Christian writings routinely demonize the Vikings but periodically let slip the Christian resentment for the better-groomed – and sweeter-smelling – Scandinavian invaders. Scholar Magnus Magnusson cites the 13th-century English chronicler John of Wallingford’s famous passage in which he justifies the massacre of the Danes in 1002:

“The Danes made themselves too acceptable to English women by their elegant manners and their care of their person. They combed their hair every day, bathed every Saturday, and even changed their garments often. They set off their persons by many such frivolous devices. In this manner, they laid siege to the virtue of the married women and persuaded the daughters, even of the nobles, to be their concubines.”

Because it is not enough to plunder riches: one has to look good while doing it!

This comb is entirely made of ox horn, which means that color may vary from product to product, as each horn is unique. The comb is 10.2*3.2cm when folded and 17.5*2.5cm when not folded.

Unlike plastic combs, the horn comb does not trap electric charges, gliding better through the hair and beard as it possesses a similar molecular nature.

The comb is foldable, permitting an easy carry both in a raiding trip or in the conference room, as both can be surprisingly similar.
