Jörmungandr (meaning "huge monster” in old Norse), also known as the Midgard Serpent (Miðgarðsormr), is a sea serpent, the middle child of the giantess Angrboða and Loki.
Tossed into the ocean by Odin, the serpent grew so large that it was able to surround Midgard and grasp its own tail, proving that the vikings of old already knew the earth was round.
According to the eddas, when Jörmungandr releases her tail the end days of Ragnarök will begin.
Just like the myth of Ouroboros, it symbolizes that every ending is also a new beginning for those brave enough to carry on.
The ring is handcrafted of pure and certified 925 Sterling Silver and is resizable from sizes 7 to 11.
