Peaceful Hel's Visage Cupronickel Ring
The realm of Hel or Helheim, Old Norse for “Hidden,” is not a place of punishment in the Norse Religion, but simply a continuation of life somewhere else. In some sagas, it’s even portrayed as a land of startlingly abundant life on the other side of death. The dead in Hel spend their time doing the same things that they did in life: eating, drinking, fighting, sleeping, and so forth.
Helheim is governed by the Goddess Hel, daughter of Loki, who displays a unique visage: half of her body is of a beautiful woman, while the other half is a decomposing corpse.
This ring is handcrafted of cupronickel, an alloy silver in color, consisting of copper, nickel and strengthening elements, such as iron and manganese. Cupronickel is highly resistant to corrosion, being used in the maritime industry.
This particular ring has a nickel content of 25%, giving it a silver luster, but making it inadequate for anyone with a nickel allergy.
Face height: 33mm, 16.5g
The ring is slightly adjustable.
