Frigg's Rope Tungsten and Deer's Antler Ring
Frigg (old Norse “beloved one”) is the queen of Asgard and wife of Odin the All-Father. She is the Goddess of the sky, fertility, household, motherhood, love, domestic arts and, specially, marriage.
For Vikings, marriage wasn’t just a union of the couple, but of families. Marriage was the center of the family in Viking culture, which in turn created intricate and complex traditions, all of them necessary to earn the blessings of the Gods.
Traditionally, weddings were held on Friday, the sacred day for Frigg, the Goddess of marriage, with the celebrations lasting for a full week.
This ring is made of Naturally Shed shed Antlers from from horned Deer. Deer species shed their antlers annually, giving us an amazing natural resource to utilize, year after year.
The metal band on the ring is made of Tungsten Carbide, a highly resistant alloy made of equal parts of Tungsten and Carbon. Its exterior is lined with Ia matte gold plating. The alloy, twice as hard as steel, can only be polished and finished with abrasives of superior hardness such as cubic boron nitride and diamond powder, making it one of the most resistant rings you will ever have.
The ring is 8mm wide, with a rounded interior, known as comfort fit. The inlays are coated in resin to protect the antler material.
