Dragonslayer Arrow Sterling Silver Pendant
Popularized in modern times, dragons were always part of the Norse culture and religion. Jörmungandr, Nidhögr, Fafnir and others, these are the original dragons of myth and legend. Dragons are mentioned in various legends, sagas, chronicles, and skaldic poems during the Viking Age.
The Mighty Fáfnir was originally a dwarf who was turned into a fearsome, almost-indestructible dragon who slept on a hoard of gold due to a “cursed” ring. Fáfnir was also known by his intelligence, and was the original inspiration for the dragon Smaug in Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. Fafnir was finally slain by the hero Sigurd, as told in the Volsung Saga.
The pendant is made of pure and certified 925 Sterling Silver, measuring 40*20mm and weighing 10g. The golden sword and dragon are made of copper. The bail (hole for the chain) accepts chains up to 3mm in thickness.
The pendant comes with a waxed rope, adjustable between 60 and 80cm.
