Skald Honor Tungsten Carbide Ring Inlaid With Opal and Red Guitar String

Skald (skáld) can be translated from old Norse as poet. They were the artists and scholars of the Viking world, creating poetry, music and keeping the traditions alive. Skalds were particularly important during the Viking age as most of the Norse history and culture was transmitted orally and rarely written.

Skalds are closely linked to the Mead of Poetry, which is given by Odin to the greatest poets, scholars and artists, thus connecting them directly to the divine.

The ring has an inlay of Red Guitar string, in homage to the skaldic music and Opal stone for the skald’s brilliance, which are covered in resin to protect the materials.

The metal band on the ring is made of Tungsten Carbide plated in Rose Gold, a highly resistant alloy made of equal parts of Tungsten and Carbon. The alloy, twice as hard as steel, can only be polished and finished with abrasives of superior hardness such as cubic boron nitride and diamond powder, making it one of the most resistant rings you will ever have.

The ring is 8mm wide, with a rounded interior, known as comfort fit.
