Thor and Sif Bounty Tungsten Carbide Ring

The God Thor is happily married to Lady Sif, a Goddess of wheat, fertility and family. They have two sons, Móði and Magni whose names translate to "Wrath" and "Mighty," and a daughter named Þrúðr ("Strength"). It is said that their union will last until the end of times - Ragnarok.

For Vikings, marriage wasn’t just a union of the couple, but of families. Marriage was the center of the family in Viking culture, which in turn created intricate and complex traditions, all of them necessary to earn the blessings of the Gods.

Traditionally, weddings were held on Friday, the sacred day for Frigg, the goddess of marriage, with the celebrations lasting for a full week.

During the wedding ceremony, the exchanged rings further consecrate the vows of union of the new couple before the Gods. The ring symbolizes the blessings of one of the most illustrious couples in Asgard and their protection over the couple’s new life with each other.

This Thor and Sif Bounty Ring is made of Tungsten Carbide, a highly resistant alloy made of equal parts of Tungsten and Carbon. It is 6 or 8mm wide, with a gold inlay in its center. Tungsten Carbide is twice as hard as steel, and can only be polished and finished with abrasives of superior hardness such as cubic boron nitride and diamond powder, making it one of the most resistant rings in Midgard.
